Team Mansfield Chairman stands down

Last updated : 26 February 2007 By Editor
Following a sustained campaign against current Chairman Keith Haslam this season, which saw a mass Team Mansfield led march on Field Mill for the home game with Macclesfield, Jeff Barnes has now stood down as joint chairman with Team Mansfield. (Below is the TM Press Release).

Just prior to the march on Field Mill, Keith Haslam had challenged Team Mansfield to 'put up or shut up' with a 21 day period for the group to come up with a 'reasonable' offer for the football club, something which Team Mansfield declined to do following the deadline.

JEFF BARNES STEPS DOWN AS JOINT CHAIRMAN

Jeff Barnes has resigned as joint chairman of TEAM Mansfield, due to increased work pressures, resulting in insufficient time to devote to the role. He is though staying on the TM Board.

The TM Board will be meeting in June, at which time the further announcements will be made, and these will be formalised at the AGM in September. TM places on record its thanks to Jeff for his excellent work over recent years as joint chairman, and looks forward to his continued involvement on the Board.
