Speaking to the official Mansfield Town Website, Shirtliff said"I have made lots of phone calls and agreements have been made to bring to players into Field Mill this afternoon. One will be a permanent deal and one will be a loan deal for an initial month. I am delighted that the players have agreed to sign as I believe both will be good signings for the club.

"I am expecting them in this afternoon to undergo a medical and sign the contracts which we are just waiting to be drawn up"
