Stags boss Peter Shirtliff confirmed this week "I think Simon is ready for a start". If Shirtliff does start with Brown, it would mean another substitute appearance for Danny Reet, who continues to be overlooked for the starting eleven.
Chris Beardsley is also expected to be on the bench, following a disapointing performance in the 2-0 home loss to Peterborough.
