Carlisle look for Promotion

League One football will be sealed if fourth-placed Grimsby fail to beat Cheltenham on Friday night – but if the Mariners win, a draw at Mansfield the following day will see United effectively promoted due to their massive goal difference, which is 22 goals greater than Grimsby.

Striker Michael Bridge's said “I've had three promotion medals with Sunderland and to get another one here would be fantastic,”

“I know most of the lads here received a medal last season from getting promoted through the Conference play-offs, but to get a championship medal would be even better.

Hopefully we'll be promoted on Friday but if Grimsby win we've got to do a job at Mansfield"

The only way United can now be knocked out of the top three is if:

They lose their last four games AND; Grimsby and Leyton Orient both win their remaining three games AND; Northampton – who face the Mariners on the final day – win their next two
