Chaos at end of Friendly Game.

A line of police and stewards blocked home fans moving behind the north stand end of the ground yesterday, as they tried to get into town via. the quickets possible route, however the police were having none of it and a tense stand up saw a couple of home fans arrested for trying to force their way through the line. Eventually the police saw sense as Stoke fans also wanted to make their way in the opposite direction to reach their cars.

The decision to house away fans at that end of the ground hasn't gone down at all well with home supporters, and the scenes witnessed yesterday has only added fuel to the fire of the view that from a safety aspect, it just isn't viable. If this happens at a friendly with only 2500 supporters, what will happen for the local derby with Lincoln for instance. Stags supporters are now demanding urgent answers from those responsible.

Indeed a bigger test could be the pre-season friendly on Wednesday night at home to Leeds. As the game is all ticket for away fans, a bumper crowd is expected to turn up at field mill. Watch this space....
