Derby Game Confusion

The Stags could well now find themselves in serious hot water with the Safety Advisory Group, who recently cut the Field Mill capacity to just 6,553 following safety concerns at the Barnet home game at the end of last season.

Under these restrictions, the club is only allowed to let in 1,300 visiting supporters, however James Derry, chairman of Mansfield Town, has had to admit a glaring error made when tickets were sent to Chesterfield, ahead of the big noon kick off, when it would appear all 1,900 tickets were sent.

Home supporters were amazed to see a full away end, with some visiting fans also spilling onto the Bishop St terracing, a stand that has been condemned!

The offficial attendance for the game with Chesterfield, was given out as just over 4,500, but Derry was keen to point out that it will be higher, given this amazing error.

The SAG are due to meet with the club this week, to discuss the restrictions, and no doubt, this glaring error, will now top the agenda.
