Stags chairman James Derry has moved to inform Stags supporters that Keith Haslam is very nearly out of the club for good (Although we are yet to hear of any landlord position that Haslam may remain in).

He told the official Mansfield Town Website "The match on Tuesday should be the last home game in which Keith Haslam is owner of Mansfield Town Football Club.

"I expect a takeover to be completed before the Notts County game on Saturday 20 October 2007.. As I said last week, discussions are still ongoing, but we are in the final stages and I am hopeful that something will happen very soon."

Derry has led a group of local buisnessmen in bidding to take control of the football club, and is now confident that the end is nigh for troubled Keith Haslam.

Supporters however, remain sceptical and would need to know the full terms of any deal, before embracing Derry's tenure.
