D'Laryea wants to Stay

Speaking to the Mansfield Official Website, D'Laryea said "I have really enjoyed my time at Mansfield and I would have loved to take part in the Newcastle game but Stuart Pearce wouldn't give permission for me to do it so I had to watch form the stands with itchy feet. But in some ways it is not necessarily a bad thing because that must mean that he has me mind for his plans at Manchester City so although I was disappointed about not been apart of the squad playing at Newcastle I was encouraged that I am in the gaffer's plans at City of Manchester stadium. "

"The lads did a great job at SJP and it will be really hard for me to get back into the team. I don't think that anyone let the side down and I believe they were unlucky not to get at least a draw from the game. We have a great set of lads here at Mansfield and I would like to stay until the end of the season. I am not sure that if I went back to City now I would get straight into the first team so I would like to carry on playing here but as I said after the performance against Newcastle there is no guarantee that I will get first team football here as well but I think this is what makes you a better player. When there is genuine competition for places you have to train harder and keep focussed but I have enjoyed my few months at this club and I will carry on working as hard as I can whilst I am here."

"When I first arrived at Mansfield I thought that I would only be here for a month but when the opportunity to stay on came along I didn't have to think about it. This is a great club with some good lads and good fans. I just hope that we can now take the performance from Newcastle and push forward in the league. I believe that with a bit of consistency we could be pushing for a play off place and I think we deserve to be a bit higher in the league than we are. All it would take is a good run of three wins on the trot and we could move right up the table, it's that tight at the minute. And if we can get our consistency we will prove to be a tough team to beat home or away "
