Fans Turn On Palmer

Although unlikely that Carlton will carry out a threat to walk away just yet, his admission that he may just do that, has caused supporters to urge him to carry out his threat.

If it is a case of Carlton trying to rally support for his young team, it has had a horryfing reverese effect, with virtually all the mansfield town internet supporters urging him to walk, below is just a sample of the feeling from fans over this past weekend:

----------

"Carlton coming out with those comments after the Chester game prove he is starting to lose the plot, the players don't know if they are playing from game to game, and they look lost at times of the pitch"

"This is the 2nd time Carlton has promised us he might leave, take as much time as you want Carlton, but come up with the right choice - LEAVE!"

"You've lost the crowd, in fact you've probably not really had the most of em, now the players are losing your respect, the treatment of Dawson is pathetic, best player in the side, and you try to make an example of him"

"In the name of gods sake go, your taking us into the conference at this rate!"

Although we did find some support for Carlton to cling onto with this view "For Gods sake, we are only a few games into the season, we have some good players, changing the manager now would mean our season over already"

It is more than likely that the club will throw it's support behind Carlton and he'll be in charge for the Darlington game, and although his comments on Friday look to be from a man under extreme pressure, a change of manager seems highly unlikely at this time of the season, but results have to improve qucikly if Carlton is to win over the Mansfield Public.
