Grimsby Town boss Russell Slade has poured cold water on reports suggesting he is about to sign Mansfield Town striker Richie Barker.
The 30-year-old, who has scored 22 goals for the Stags this season, had been linked with the Mariners last summer, but Slade insists he has not followed up that initial interest.
"I did hear that on the radio this morning," Slade told the Mariners' official website.
"I don't know where that's come from but it's the first I know (about it)."
