Duo back for Stags

Mansfield hope to have Martin Riley and Jamie McGuire back in contention for the visit of League Two leaders Scunthorpe.

Defender Riley (leg) and midfielder McGuire (groin) both missed the 1-0 victory at Exeter last weekend, along with leading scorer Sam Clucas (ankle ligament) and midfielder Ben Hutchinson.

Clucas and Hutchinson have not featured since the FA Cup defeat to Oldham in December because of ankle ligament damage and a hamstring problem respectively, and the duo continue with their recoveries.

However, on-loan defender Darryl Westlake could feature for the Stags, who are without a home win in nine games in all competitions, after extending his stay from Sheffield United until the end of the campaign.

Scunthorpe striker Paul Hayes could make his first appearance since returning for a third spell.

Hayes returned to Glanford Park in December but had not been eligible to play over the Christmas period.

Boss Russ Wilcox , whose side did not have a game last weekend, has no new injury or suspension problems as the Iron look to extend their unbeaten league run to nine matches.

But midfielder David Syers has returned to Doncaster and striker Jimmy Spencer is back at Huddersfield, while winger Andy Welsh (knee), defender Andy Dawson (hip) and striker Matty Godden (ankle) are still sidelined.
