The player has featured very little this season since Carlton Palmer brought him to Field Mill mid way through last season.
Speaking on the official Mansfield Town website, Stags boss Peter Shirtliff said of the move "Fraser McLachlan will be joining Morecambe until the end of the season. He has not been playing much lately band I think it is important he gets some games under his belt. I think that he understands that when the team are doing so well it is difficult to get into the side and if they do get in the side through certain circumstances they have to do well to stay in it"
Fraser has struggled to win a regular place in the Stags side since joining and has also failed to win over a large majority of the field mill supporters.
