Griffin available for Stags clash

Stockport manager Jim Gannon will have new signing Adam Griffin in his squad for the trip to Mansfield on Saturday afternoon.Midfielder Griffin had a successful spell on loan at County last season and has joined the Hatters for an undisclosed fee from Oldham.

Striker Tes Bramble (calf) missed the first two games of the season but is set to return for the Hatters, who have lost both their opening matches.

The Stags, who are likely to have former County man Matt Hamshaw in their squad have four points from their opening two matches.

And Gannon said: "They've started the season very well and they'll be full of confidence, especially at home.

"But we're going to make sure it will be a tough game for them."

Dawson set for red card reprieve

Mansfield defender Stephen Dawson is available for the visit of Stockport despite being booked twice in the midweek victory over MK DonsReferee Kevin Wright failed to send off Dawson and is likely to be suspended himself if the Football League refer the matter to the FA, as seems likely.

The League is awaiting video evidence before deciding what action to take, which means a temporary reprieve for Dawson.

Manager Peter Shirtliff's only other concern is over midfielder Giles Coke, 20, who is still struggling with an ankle injury and will not be fit to face the Hatters, who have lost both their opening games.
