An article in todays Nottingham Evening Post, points to the fact that Shirtliff has indeed put in a bid for a Championship striker, and the bid has been acepted by the club concerned, speaking about the move, Shrtliff said "I'm hoping to get a decision one way or the other in the next couple of days"

"There are a couple of other players that I'm looking at and I've spoken to the chairman about signing them.

"But it all depends what happens in this case.

"We can't go any further until we know if the lad wants to sign for us."
