Just recently, the club has highlighted that it is in a legal issue with former directors, Steve Hymas and Andy Saunders, who are claiming that Mansfield Town now owe them for loans they made to the club, when they ran it during the conference years.
The writ was issued to the Stags over Christmas, and now owner John Radford has had to tighten the purse strings ahead of what could be a long and drawn out legal fight.
A statement on the clubs website read "As a consequence, funds which were intended to be used to strengthen the playing squad in this transfer window are now no longer available."
Fans will also be disapointed to learn that "The proposed trip pre-season trip to Malta this July has now also been cancelled."
