Despite fears to the contary, Stags boss Billy Dearden has eased supporters fears by offering 13 players new deals for the season.

Indeed only Barry Conlon, Martin Gritton, Asa Charlton and Jon Olav-Hjelde (Retired) are the only players that have been told that they would not be returning next season.

Alex John-Baptiste, Jason White, Carl Muggleton, Giles Coke, Simon Brown, Stephen Dawson, Gareth Jelleyman, Chris Wood, Danny Sleath, Nathan Arnold, Ashley Kitchen, and Rory and Michael Boulding have all been offered new deals.

Dearden has also opted to wait on Callum Lloyd, depending on who accepts new deals or not.

It is a difficult time of the year," Dearden told the Mansfield CHAD in the wake of the news being released
.
"Chances are it will all go quiet now and then everything will suddenly spring back into life.

"I definitely want to bring a minimum of four new players in - certainly a striker and a left-sided midfield player.

"Obviously if some players decide not to accept their contract then it will be more.
