Des Walker could well be lining up along side Carlton Palmer as the two "old stagers" aim to nurse the younger generation through the build up to the campaign.
All of Carlton's summer signings should feature tomorrow at some point, and Carlton is pleased with how the summer has gone so far : "The idea was to get the squad sorted out early in the summer so we could then get heads down and get on with our preparations without interruption.
"On the whole I'm pleased with the way things have worked out because I do feel we've got the right blend of people in the dressing room."
