Speaking to the official Mansfield Town Website : "I actually missed the draw as I was at friends house, but as you would imagine as the draw was made my phone started ringing. I didn't realise at first that we had drawn Newcastle away I automatically thought it was a home draw because of the way it was said to me but then I realised it was away at Newcastle and I think that it is a great draw for the football club.

"I would imagine that there will be a big crowd, massive compared to what our players are used to playing in front of. But, at the end of the day it is an occasion we can look forward to but we have to concentrate and focus on our league games preceding that."

"We have some very important games to play before the cup game and they are my priority. We have made an improvement in our league form and I suppose that a tasty draw in the cup is just rewards for all the hard work that the players have put in, but, at the end of the day if we don't carry on with that good work and stay focussed we could still easily slip up"
