Shirtliff Reaction

Speaking to the Nottingham Evening Post after the game, Shirtliff said "Hamshaw's goal was a good one, he has that bit of quality about him.

"In the first half we did not have enough conviction in our play, but Stockport never really troubled us either. It was a disappointing goal to concede, being from a set-piece.

"In the second half we were all over them. But one or two things didn't really go for us even though we totally dominated the second half. If we had scored earlier we would have won the game.

"We need to show a bit more quality in the final third of the pitch and if we can continue to keep this level of performance we will continue to do well in games.

"We would like to have had more points at this stage, but I am delighted with how we are progressing. Confidence is high among the players."
