So in theory a win for the Stags tonight would help them towards that fate, and after the impressive performance in the 2-2 draw at Shrewsbury, 2 good performances in the 2 upcoming home games (MK Dons and Stockport) will give the Stags a good platform in the early stages of the season.
Giles Coke is probably the biggest doubt for Shirtliff, with Dawson standing by to fill in, other than that, it will make sense to keep the same line up from Saturday's opener.
One area where the Stags will have to improve, is set pieces, in particular corners, where free headers were the norm last time out.
The MK Dons chairman has had his hand in his pocket and is paying for 9 coaches to come to field mill. However if they bring more than 5-600, i will be very surprised.
