Former Bolton Wanderers, Derby County and Mansfield Town defender Jason Talbot has signed on a permanent basis for League One side Port Vale.
Jason had previously been on loan at Vale Park for the last few months of the 2005/6 season.
Manager Martin Foyle told the club's official website: "Jason is a tenacious little player who wears his heart on his sleeve. He has the pace to go forward but, most importantly, he has the ability to defend.
