Stags boss Billy Dearden declared himself 'more than pleased' when he spoke to the Nottingham Evening Post after the 1-1 draw at Chester.

"It was always going to be difficult with 11 men so for us to come here and get a point with 10 men is very pleasing.

"Our players gave everything when they could have gone under.

"When we were one up I started to get greedy and I thought we could hang on for the win because Chester never really created too much, apart from a few half-chances and our centre-backs played very well.

"I also thought we were dangerous on the break and we had our chances to win it at the end."

On the dismissal of Barry Conlon inside the opening ten minutes, Dearden added "I didn't see the incident but Barry has apologised at half-time.

"I will have to look at the video before I think about appealing."
