Schofield was obviously delighted with four goal hero Jamie Forrester, and speaking to the BBC website he said "He's been getting free-kicks, putting people through and setting up chances, so there was never a thought it wasn't going to happen for him," he said.

"If you go 4-0 up sometimes you start to take liberties, and I think we went forward a little bit too much.

"But the lads wanted to win 5-0, 6-0 or 7-0 and I can't knock them for that."

"Everybody to a man really performed well today,"

Marriot Saves Barkers 1st Penalty

On the game itself, Schofield told the official Lincoln City website "We passed the ball well, there was some great decision making, we were brave in defending and we were brave in possession of the ball.

"We knew what the tactics were going to be and to a man they've stuck to them."

"If we take the two penalties as instances, we had two or three quick passes and a third or fourth man entering into the scene flat out. You only need a little touch and a mistimed tackle when he flies into the box, which is what happened, and you get a penalty."
