Low Turn Out

To say it was the first time the teams had met in some four years, the turnout for the noon kick off at Field Mill, should really start to worry those high up at the football club.

With some 1,300 (supposedly) coming from over the M1, although that figure may be closer to two thousand, following James Derry's amazing confession that extra tickets were sent in error, the figure of around 3,000 home supporters for such a high profile game, should now send a clear message to Keith Haslam, that Mansfield Town supporters have had enough, and are staying away from Field Mill.

The decision to ask home supporters to fill in an application form, in order to gain entry to the ground, also looks to have backfired.

The official attendance for the game was just 4,514, although this looks like it will be have to be amended to take into account the extra tickets sold by Chesterfield.
