Stags look to keep going

Mansfield boss Peter Shirtliff is confident his Stags side can extend their current unbeaten run - the club's longest since 1998.

Shirtliff has presided over a reversal of fortunes at Field Mill, where Town had slipped into relegation danger under previous boss Carlton Palmer.

And the weekend's 1-0 victory over visiting Northampton was a second successive win as well as the club's eighth without defeat.

Shirtliff said: "We can really turn it on when we want to and we just need that bit of consistency.

"I believe we're starting to get it back and if we can keep that form we should be capable of getting a few more victories.

"The atmosphere around the place at the moment is as good as it's been for a while now."
