Despite the training being paid for by the Supporters Association, there appeared to be no thanks for them from chairman James Derry as he told the Mansfield Chad "We have done a deal with the John Fretwell Centre — it has only just opened in the last month and has brand new sports and changing facilities.
"The centre is looking to promote itself and from our point of view this is what the fans have been after for a long time, so this was a very attractive proposition for us."
